In this week’s edition of Maverick Spotlight the inSIDER features Calvin Buesgens of Chaska, Minn., a Senior on the MSU Men’s Track & Field team. Buesgens is truly the jack of all trades in the sport of Track & Field, he has thrown discus, shot put, and javelin while also participating in high jump, pole vault, and various sprinting events. Let’s get to know Calvin better.

    • Reserved, witty, and chill
  2. What tops your list of pet peeves? 
    • When people don’t clean up after themselves
  3. As the only human left on Earth, what would you do?
    • Golf 24/7
  4. What’s the dumbest thing you’ve done that actually turned out pretty well?
    • Driving to Wayne, Nebraska to visit one of my buddies
  5. Who is your all-time favorite sports star?
    • Kobe Bryant
  6.  What is your most prized possession?
    • One of my grandpa’s old flannel shirts
  7.  What three items can always be found in your refrigerator
    • Spinach, Greek yogurt, and hot sauce
  8.   What is the most impressive thing you know how to do?
    • Juggle
  9.  Who’s your go-to band or artist when you can’t decide on something to listen to?
    • Van Halen
  10.  What movie title best describes your life?
    • Semi-Pro
  11.  What is the luckiest thing that has happened to you?
    • Won a free Big Mac from McDonald’s Monopoly a couple years back
  12.  What is something that a ton of people are obsessed with but you just don’t get the point of?
    • Binge watching series upon series of shows on Netflix

    • Sports Analyst for ESPN

    • My parents and friends

    • Buy single ply toilet paper

    • Time-travel

    • Pay my debts to my parents and buy some new golf clubs

    • The friendships I’ve made over the years
