Ryan Schlichte is at his final semester here at Minnesota State University, Mankato. During his time here, he has been studying social studies secondary education. Schlichte is originally from North Mankato where he attended Mankato West High School. This year Schlichte will compete on the football team as quarterback for is 5thand final season. 

RYAN SCHLICHTE, Football

In 2018 Schlichte played in all 14 games and made 13 starts as quarterback for the Mavericks. Completed 120 passes for a team-leading 1,914 yards and 19 touchdowns.

    •  Easygoing, caring, hardworking
  2. What tops your list of pet peeves?
    •  Listening to someone tell the same story over and over
  3. If you could be any animal, what would it be and why?
    • Cheetah, I want to know what it’s like to have wheels like that
  4. What’s the dumbest thing you’ve done that actually turned out pretty well?
    • Pulling all-nighters at sleepovers in middle school
  5. Who is your all-time favorite sports star?
    • Tim Tebow
  6. What is your most prized possession? 
    • My HS state championship and college conference championship rings
  7. What three items can always be found in your refrigerator?
    • Eggs, Franks Buffalo Hot Sauce, Leftovers 
  8. If you didn’t have to sleep, what would you do with the extra time?
    • Play video games with the boys
  9. What skill would you like to master? 
    • Drawing
  10. What movie title best describes your life? 
    • Friday Night Lights
  11. What is the luckiest thing that has happened to you? 
    • Meeting all the people I have met here at MSU 
  12. What is something that a ton of people are obsessed with but you just don’t get the point of? 
    • The Bachelor and Bachelorette 
  13. If all jobs had the same pay and hours, what job would you like to have? 
    • HS social studies teacher and football coach
  14. Who inspires you to be better?
    • My parents

    • Eat chili cheese dogs before going on amusement park rides

    • Go on their dream vacation

    • Control time

    • Pay off all payments and debts that my family has

    • The family atmosphere between everyone on campus
