Minnesota State University, Mankato ‘Crushed’ Winona State in Campus Food Drive

The student government at Minnesota State University, Mankato participated in the annual campus food drive the week before homecoming. However, this year, they were challenged by Winona State University to see who could raise the most amount of money and items for the Campus Cupboard, a program dedicated to providing students with groceries and personal care products.

By the end of the week, Minnesota State University, Mankato received over $900 in donations, and 2200 items for the Campus Cupboard, compared to Winona, who gathered 435 items.

Minnesota State Mankato won by an overwhelming amount of cash donations, food and personal care essentials.

The student government looks forward to next year and hopes to raise more funds and items to help those in need.
