Photos and video of your Maverick experience posted with #MavFam could make it onto the University’s new Mavericks in Action photo collage.

The initiative allows the University to feature students, alumni, faculty and staff who use the #MavFam hashtag or tag Minnesota State University, Mankato on Instagram or Twitter.

The Mavericks in Action site made its public debut at the Feb. 14 Admissions Open House for incoming students. The site features a collection of online photos and videos that rotate to show the accompanying post.

Lindsey Beyer, the University’s director of web marketing, said the new Mavericks in Action site offers a fresh look at college life at Minnesota State Mankato.

“We realize that students and prospective students want a genuine look into campus life. Who better to share those experiences than our campus community?” said Beyer, who will be monitoring and posting tagged photos and videos to Mavericks in Action. “We want to change your social media experience on our website by showcasing what you are posting, rather than only sharing what we are posting.”

The new online feature can be viewed at https://mankato.mnsu.edu/mavs-in-action. Mavericks in Action is also on display on a digital monitor in the Centennial Student Union Ballroom Lobby.
