Today I want to discuss a topic that has been on my mind.

For the most part, we have been focusing on ourselves as students. Adjusting to online learning, zoom lectures, and canceled commencement.

Today, I want to shine the spotlight on our professors, advisors, and overall the faculty at Minnesota State University, Mankato.

Dear Faculty and Staff,

We know online learning wasn’t what anyone was expecting this semester. Logging on and working from home can be challenging. Following stay-at-home orders isn’t easy either.

The educators at this university have shown their loyalty and dedication to students’ academic success. Whether it’s answering an email quickly to a question about something we are unsure about, being a set of ears to listen how we’re doing, doing weekly check-ins regarding class, or simply just going to extra mile to make sure we understand a concept during this unprecedented time, your efforts have an impact.

We grateful for the time, effort, and thought you put into teaching us online. During these unusual circumstances, you’re making a huge difference in our educational journey.

We lastly just want to say thank you. Thank you for being patient, answering our emails, adjusting to online learning, being understanding, and most of all, thank you for being supportive.

Sincerely,

Your Students
