Community Invited to Retirement Reception for Minnesota State Mankato President Richard Davenport on June 3

The June 3 reception honors President Richard Davenport who retires June 30 after 19 years as Minnesota State Mankato’s 12th president.

The public is invited to attend an open house retirement reception for Minnesota State University, Mankato President Richard Davenport on Thursday, June 3 from 5-7 p.m. in the Grand Hall at the Mayo Clinic Health System Event Center in Mankato.

A program with remarks is scheduled for 6 p.m. as part of the event to honor Davenport, who is retiring June 30 after serving for 19 years as the 12th president in Minnesota State Mankato’s 153-year history. Davenport announced his retirement on Aug. 14.

Minnesota State Mankato, a comprehensive university with 14,604 students, is part of the Minnesota State system, which includes 30 colleges and seven universities.
