DEADLINE IS FEB. 26: Become an Orientation Peer Assistant for Summer ’21

Looking to make a difference this summer at Minnesota State University, Mankato?

Expand your leadership skills and become an Orientation Peer Assistant (OPA) for the office of New Student and Family Programs.

OPAs are the student leaders on campus during the summertime. They help new and transfer students with their transition to Minnesota State University, Mankato.

To learn more about becoming an OPA visit HERE. The deadline to apply is Friday Feb 26 at 4 p.m.

OPAs serve as positive role models and mentors, discussion leaders, tour guides, and educators throughout campus.

The position begins May 19 and ends July 23. A required training session will be in April 2021.

OPAs are guaranteed twenty hours weekly with the potential of 40 hours. Compensation is $10.08 hourly wage.

OPAs benefit from free on campus housing during the duration of orientation.

Due to Covid, this summer OPAs will be hosting most orientation events on zoom and connecting with students via phone and email.

The Orientation Peer Assistants are a key component for a successful transition to college for students new to Minnesota State University, Mankato.
