Mystery, intrigue, music, murder, laughs – the closing production of Highland Summer Theatre season 52 has it all.

Sponsored by TRIO Programs, “The Musical Comedy Murders of 1940” runs 7:30 p.m. Wednesday through Saturday, July 11-14, in the Andreas Theatre, Earley Center for Performing Arts, Minnesota State Mankato.

Here’s a bit more about the show, directed by Susan V. Hansen: As a composer, lyricist, actors and director prepare a production, bodies start to drop in plain sight, knives spring out of nowhere, masked figures drag their victims behind swiveling bookcases, and accusing fingers point in all directions. The murder mystery does get solved—but not before the audience has been treated to a sidesplitting good time.

Tickets are $16 regular; $14 for seniors ages 65 and older, children under 16 and groups of 15 or more; and $11 for Minnesota State Mankato students. Call the Box Office at 507-389-6661, or visit MSUTheatre.com for more information about tickets.
