Leadership Retreat Helps Selected Students Take Skills To The Next Level

The application deadline is Friday, Nov. 22, for 35 students interested in a weekend for discovering or enhancing personal leadership skills.

Student Activities is currently seeking applications for the Seventh Annual Student Leadership Retreat, Feb. 7-9, 2020, at Camp Omega in Waterville, Minn.

The Student Leadership Retreat is a weekend-long, interactive experience grounded in ‘The Student Leadership Challenge’ by Kouze & Posner, which highlights 5 Practices of Exemplary Leadership.

‘Student participants will engage in activities and conversation around these practices, and leave the weekend with not only a better understanding of their own leadership, but with new friendships and renewed energy.’

The retreat is open to both undergraduate and graduate students. Due to space restrictions, the retreat is limited to 35 student participants. 

The application deadline is 5 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 22. 2019. Selected participants will receive invitations the following week, Menk said.

The cost of attending the retreat is $20, which includes all food, transportation, and lodging. Need-based scholarships are available.
