With no classes on MLK Day, Minnesota State Mankato students are invited to give back with Monday, Jan. 17, activities at the Centennial Student Union that celebrate the legacy of Martin Luther King Jr.
MLK Day of Service
The Community Engagement Office will host opportunities for students to engage in service projects, expose their leadership, and honor the life of MLK. These projects will be on the CSU Mav Ave from 1 to 4 p.m. on Jan. 17. Project include:
- Tie blankets for Connections Shelter
- Cards for Cardz for Kidz
- Laundry pod bundles for various local shelters

Premiere of MLK Documentary
Did you know that Martin Luther King Jr. visited Mankato, MN, on Nov. 12, 1961? The Kessel Peace Institute and True Facade Pictures collaborated to create an MLK documentary about his visit to Mankato over 60 years ago.
