MN Attorney General Keith Ellison Among Panelists on BLM and Criminal Justice

Minnesota Attorney General Keith Ellison will be among four panelists addressing Black Lives Matter in criminal justice during a Thursday, Oct. 29, webinar starting at 11 a.m.

Online registration with information and the opportunity to submit questions is requested for individuals wishing to join the webinar.

Joining Ellison as panelists are Ramsey County Commissioner Toni Carter, Probation Officer James Burnett and retired police Sargent Lisa Clemons.

Kenneth Reid, director of African American Affairs at Minnesota State University, Mankato, organized the event and will serve as moderator.

Reid said topics will focus on privilege, criminal justice and devaluing of Black lives “to help individuals understand what must be done on a national, state, local and familiar level to move the nation in a direction where Black Lives Matter in criminal justice.”
