We would like to welcome Her Campus as Octobers RSO of the month! We asked Her Campus a few questions about their RSO! We are very excited to have them with us!
RSO of the Month Questions:
What is your RSO?
Our RSO is Her Campus MNSU.
What do you do, what makes you special, what do u have to offer?
What makes our RSO special, is that we are a group of young, empowered women and we essentially run an online women’s magazine. You can write about anything and everything. We do more than just write for the online magazine, we also volunteer, get involved in our community, fundraise and try to be involved in activities at school as much as possible. Her Campus is an online women’s magazine with the goal of empowering college women and providing them with the resources necessary to succeed in their personal and professional lives.
Do you have to apply, how selective are you, do you target a specific audience?
Yes, you do have to apply at this site:
https://hercampusmnsu.wufoo.com/forms/her-campus-mnsu-1920-application/ We are not super selective. We currently only have women in our chapter, but men are more than welcome to join! It is a great community and everyone in it truly wants to see you and the chapter succeed. It is a great group to be involved in on-campus and throughout college.
What is your ultimate goal?
Our ultimate goal is to continue to grow our chapter, become even more involved and eventually raise enough money so we can send all the members of our club to Her Conference in late spring/early summer, dates, and places have not been released yet, but last year they were in Los Angeles, CA and New York City, NY.
How many members do you have?
We currently have about 23 members.
How many years have you been at the University?
We have been at Minnesota State University, Mankato for 7 years now.
What other Universities have your organization?
There are 318 campus chapters across 44 states and 9 countries and continuing to grow!
What meme would your RSO relate to?
Her Campus is about including everyone no matter their size, shape, color. We are all about empowering women and building up who they are as human beings. We are all special and unique in our own way and Her Campus is about bringing out you and embracing that you are awesome.
