A recent article in Inside Higher Education addressed a strengths veterans bring to college campuses.

While previous studies focused on challenges veteran students face including disabilities, post-traumatic stress disorder and higher rates of anxiety and depression, a new study looks at the position traits and achievements veterans offer higher education.

Among those strengths include diversity awareness, leadership, discipline and drive and adaptable communication skills.
