Two of Minnesota’s premier guitar players join forces Wednesday, Feb. 8, as the Serendipity Music Series celebrates Black History Month with the Original Dreadlock Cowboy, Wain McFarlane, featuring Mark Joseph of Mark Joseph and the American Soul. The two perform Wednesday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the CSU Hearth Lounge as part of the CSU’s ongoing Serendipity Music Series spotlighting Minnesota musicians. 

Wain McFarlane’s guitar prowess blends Jamaican roots with gospel, blues and jazz to deliver rock tunes that critics describe as “laced in country and dipped in reggae.” Mark Joseph’s latest album, Vegas Hotel, shares personal stories from the road as he crosses various music genres.
