At Home at the Zoo Debut

The latest production by MSU Theatre might be described as a mash-up of two stories by noted American playwright Edward Albee. The play opens with Homelife, Albee’s 2004 play about the rocky marriage of Peter and Ann. Act II shares Albee’s 1959 classic, The Zoo Story. A man named Jerry approaches Peter sitting on a Central Park bench. Jerry continues probing into Peter’s life in an attempt to take the park bench for himself. The combined stories offer a life lesson about discovering what’s important, according to MFA Direction candidate Casey Ring, who is making his directorial debut at Minnesota State Mankato. The show runs March 22-25 at 7:30 p.m. in the PAC Andreas Theatre. Cost for students is $5.
