Enjoy the Maverick Snowshoe Series Throughout February

Maverick Adventures at Minnesota State University, Mankato, will host a snowshoe series event for all students throughout the rest of the month of February. Stay active with other students during unique experiences at a low cost.

You must register for each event. Each registration gives students proper equipment and guidance, such as snowshoe rentals, transportation, guided hikes, yoga experiences, and hot chocolate. Register now while spots remain available- first come, first served.

Here’s a description of each event and each date:

Snowga, First Event, Feb. 16:

On Feb. 16, the Snowga event allows students to hike on the Fitness Trail on-campus from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. According to Maverick Adventures, Snowga will merge aspects of both snowshoeing and yoga. Take a hike and reflect upon the experience.

Snowshoeing at Minneopa State Park, Feb. 18:

On Feb. 18, Minneopa Area Naturalist, Scott Kudelka, will lead a snowshoe hike along Minneopa State Park from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.

Snowga, Second Event, Feb. 24:

On Feb. 24, Maverick Adventures will have another Snowga event at the MNSU Fitness Trail from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.

Snowshoeing at Rasmussen Woods, Feb. 26:

On Feb. 26, a snowshoe hike will take place at Rasmussen Woods, near campus, with the Maverick Adventures team from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. According to Maverick Adventures, the moderate hike will allow students to enjoy the scenic woods.
