Free Breakfast, Massages, Therapy Dogs Among CSU Finals Week StressBuster Activities

Various activities to help relieve the stress of Finals Week are planned as part of the Centennial Student Union StressBusters.

Among highlighted activities will be a Finals Week tradition as the CSU and Student Activities host the FREE Late Night Breakfast on Monday, Dec. 9. Serving by University administrators begins at 10 p.m. on the CSU MavAve

Other CSU-sponsored activities include the return of FREE 10-minute chair massages offered by Kristy Baker of Just Kneaded Massages in Mankato. Massages will be offered Monday through Wednesday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. in CSU203. A sign-up sheet will be posted each morning outside CSU203. Appointments are on a first-come, first-served basis with one appointment per person.

Certified therapy dogs return during Finals Week Monday as the CSU Hound Hugs & Kanine Kisses again welcomes the Mankato Chapter of Alliance of Therapy Dogs for two special Finals Week sessions. A daytime session on Monday, Dec. 5, will be from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. in the CSU Lincoln Lounge. That evening, therapy dogs return to the CSU Hearth Lounge for a 6:45 to 8:15 session. Photos with the dogs in front of the Holiday Tree will be taken upon request.

Also on Monday, Dec. 5, the CSU Serendipity Music Series will feature cello music by Olivia Quintanilla from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the CSU Hearth Lounge.

Other activities throughout Finals Week include coloring stations near the CSU South Entrance, CSU Lincoln Lounge and CSU Hearth Lounge.

Those wishing help to de-stress can find Punch the Clown at various locations on the CSU Main Level.
