MANKATO ADVENTURES: The Walking Sculpture Tour is a Unique Way to Explore Town

An ongoing series by ANNELISE MILLER, CSU Communications Student Staff

The city art walking sculpture tour is an annual event put on in the City Center of Mankato. Artists get to put their sculptures around town for one year, where the public can view, vote on a favorite, and even purchase them. Anyone who is a fan of art could enjoy this opportunity to support local artists.

Go to the online map to easily access and locate all the statues. The route will not cross the bridge into North Mankato. There are multiple public parking locations near the statues, as well as public transport to nearby locations.

The program has activities to offer such as a scavenger hunt and voting to help enrich the experience. This is a great way to get off campus and walk around town.
