Malik Willingham, Mavericks senior guard, was named this week to the Bevo Francis Top 100 Watch List. The watch list will will be reduced throughout the remainder of the season with the Bevo Francis Award for the best Small College Basketball player announced later this spring. 

The 16-0 Mavericks last week moved into the nation’s top ranking after unanimous selection by National Association of Basketball Coaches. As the nation’s only undefeated NCAA Division II men’s basketball team, the Mavericks moved up from the second spot after defeating Bemidji State and Minnesota Crookston. The Mavericks took to the road this weekend facing #21 ranked Minot State on Friday and University of Mary on Saturday.
