With a time of 3:53.52, juniors Makayla Jackson, Rose Cramer, Denisha Cartwright, and Makenna Thurston broke the national sprint medley relay by five seconds. Jackson and Cramer took the first two legs of the relay, each sprinting for 200m, followed by Cartwright taking the 400m leg. Thurston finished out the group with the daunting 800m dash to break both the school and national record.
 
The previous school and national record was held by Mavericks as well. The team was composed of Gaye, Hartman, Adah, and Patrick and has been held since 2019 with their time of 3:58.40.
 
Five other Mavericks also recorded top marks at the Drake Relays.
 
In pole vault, junior Paige Hickson vaulted a personal best of 4.07 m (13′ 4.25″). This moves Hickson to seventh in the nation and ties for third on the MSU all-time top performances list.
 
Freshman Lillian Washington had success in triple jump, recording a jump of 12.44 m (40′ 9.75″) to finish second in the event and rank second on the MSU all-time list. The personal best jump also ranks Washington eighth in the nation.
 
In the elite bracket of triple jump, junior Flore Gracia placed fifth with a jump of 12.45 m (40′ 10.5″).
 
Jackson found the podium again in long jump, with a third place jump of 5.85 m (19′ 2.5″). Right behind was senior Mariah Williams with a jump of 5.82 m (19′ 1.5″) to place fourth. Sophomore Kary Petricka also competed in long jump, finishing in sixth after jumping 5.58 m (18′ 3.75″).
