Minnesota State Mankato Will Honor Fall ’24 Reciprocity After SD Terminates Agreement

From University Media Relations Reports

President Edward Inch welcomes new students as they Walk Through The Arch during Welcome Week.

Minnesota State Mankato will continue to honor the Minnesota resident tuition rate for prospective South Dakota students enrolling at the University for Fall 2024 following an announcement by President Edward Inch.

The decision comes after the South Dakota Board of Regents in January terminated the tuition reciprocity agreement between the two states beginning with the 2024-25 academic year.

Inch said the University’s decision ensures that South Dakota students considering enrolling at Minnesota State Mankato in Fall 2024 would not suddenly be impacted by an unexpected higher out-of-state tuition rate.

Allowing South Dakota students to enter Minnesota State Mankato at the current reciprocity rate would remain in place through their undergraduate degree completion.
