MOVE CREW is back in 2022!

The Department of Residential Life is seeking volunteers to help greet students and families as they arrive for move-in on THURSDAY, August 18, 2022.

Between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. on Fall Move-In Day, over 500 welcoming Move Crew volunteers assist new students and families in unloading vehicles.

Volunteers unload belongings from the vehicle to the curb, allowing the vehicle to depart the lot quickly and allow other vehicles to unload. Volunteers keep a watch on personal belongings until the family moves them into the room. Members of the Move Crew will be easily noticeable because they will be wearing purple shirts!

Move Crew volunteers play an important role in greeting students and families, directing them to the correct buildings to get keys and information, helping unload vehicles in the unloading zones, watching the heaps of belongings that are piled in front of our halls, and in some cases, helping direct traffic. The 500 volunteers needed for a successful move-in operation receive the heartfelt gratitude of students and families on this important and meaningful day. Be a part of the return of Move Crew to help create a Maverick Welcome!
