Office of University Fellowships Offers Scholarships

Looking for money to fund a passion or educational experience?

The Fellowships Office, located in MH 265, helps highly motivated students find and apply for competitive national and international fellowships. We’d like to bring your attention to four awards that have deadlines coming up: the Goldwater Scholarship, the Udall Scholarship, the Truman Scholarship, and the Boren Scholarship.

Some fast facts:

The Goldwater Scholarship awards up to $7500 a year for funding for undergraduate study. This is for STEM students who are Sophomores or Juniors.

The Udall Scholarship awards up to $7000 for leadership, public service, and commitment to issues related to the environment. It is also offered to Native American and Alaska Native students who have demonstrated commitment to careers related to tribal public policy or Native health care. Must be a Sophomore or Junior.

The Truman Scholarship provides funding for graduate school ($30,000, and any additional tuition coverage). This is for leaders who intend to be global change agents and are committed to careers in public service. Must be a Junior.

The Boren Scholarship awards $25,000 for Undergraduate funding & $35,000 for Graduate funding. This is for undergraduate students interested in studying abroad and are committed to Working for U.S. Government for at least 1 year after graduation.
