Cortez Hollis, ’14, a current Minnesota State Mankato graduate student and creator of Protein Water, volunteers through the Outreach Program Services of America to direct college students and community members in need to the federal Affordable Connectivity Program. As part of $14.2 billion in limited-time funding, students receiving various forms of financial assistance are eligible for a FREE 8-inch Android tablet. More than 200 Minnesota State Mankato students are among the 1,000 weekly recipients of tablets that come with 25GB per month of free built in wi-fi for five years. Total cost includes a $11 activation fee and $14 shipping.
