Show Off Your Maverick Pride at the Annual Snow Sculpture Build

The Student Events Team will sponsor their next annual snow sculpture build with the Snowkitects artist team at the Performing Arts Center lawn starting on Friday, Feb. 11, until Sunday, Feb. 13.

According to the SET team, the completed snow sculpture should be about 512 cubic feet with special LED colored lighting. The sculpture will remain on the PA lawn until Friday, Feb. 25.

According to the Snowkitects team, the piece will highlight:

  • three pillars representing sustainability and global community
  • a bull bust
  • framing words
  • arches that create a sphere

“Our work largely focuses on interpretation of real-world objects or scenes, with hints of our own personalities injected into the piece. We strive to push the limits of snow as a medium, utilizing void space and cantilevers to highlight its strength and durability.”
