The Big Day is Almost Here

by GABBIE KEERAN, CSU Public Relations Intern

I realize that graduation is a little over three weeks away.

To me, this feels surreal and nerve-racking. It feels exciting and freeing, knowing that once I get my first job, my life starts. Officially.

Thinking about having a job that I go to everyday is exciting. Knowing that all my hard work has paid off.

I purchased my cap and gown last week, it feels like yesterday I was graduating from high school.

As I wrap up my last semester here, I want to do as much as I can these last few weeks to make the last weeks of my college career count.

I have been writing more often and I wrote an entry dedicated to thanking the people who supported me throughout my journey.

Journal Entry from 4/10/21:

“As this semester comes to a close, I want to thank all of my friends, family, professors, and advisors that helped me along the way. These past four years have been a blessing to me. I have made so many good connections with so many people.

I will never forget the memories I made here. Honestly, looking back I feel like I could do it all over again. These four years have gone faster than I could’ve imagined.

To all the graduating seniors, make your last few weeks count, and good luck on your endeavors after college. I am proud of the person I have turned into while being here, and I hope you all are too.”
