Warrior’s Cup Now Part of March 26 Kato Ninja Warrior

The turns and curves of Kato Ninja Warrior just got a new twist – university bragging rights that comes with the new Warrior Cup.

The Maverick version of the popular American Ninja Warrior, the annual Kato Ninja Warrior will be Thursday, March 26 in Bresnan Arena in the Taylor Center.

This year, contestants from Minnesota State Mankato, Gustavus Adolphus, South Central College and Bethany Lutheran can now compete to claim the Warrior Cup for their university.

This competition puts your body to the test. It includes quintuple steps, a salmon ladder, wipe out, and Kwik Trip warped wall.

The event is a replication of the popular TV show, American Ninja Warrior. Participants will be tested to see if they can make it through the course successfully.

The top 15 contestants will compete to be named Kato Ninja Warrior. The audience will have the opportunity to run, following the show at 8 p.m.

This year’s warriors are from Minnesota State University, Mankato, Gustavus, South Central College and Bethany Lutheran. They will compete to win the Ninja Cup for their university.

The schedule is as follows:

  • 8:00pm – Open course – Free
  • 7:00pm – Kato Ninja Warrior Show
  • 6:30pm – Spectator Door Open
  • 6:00pm – University Open Course
  • 3:00pm – Time Trails Start

Student Warrior registrations are free, the public is $30. The live show is free to all! There will also be concessions available for purchase.
