As part of a continuing federal Affordable Connectivity Program initiated during Covid to aid wi-fi connectivity and access, students can still apply for a 10-inch Vortex tablet with its own hot spot for a $11 activation fee. Alumnus Cortez Hollis initiated the program at Minnesota State Mankato last Spring and now has eight student representatives on campus to assist with applications. Students receiving federal assistance such as Pell Grants, WIC, Veteran Pension and more can qualify. Students interested in applying should contact Aicha Maiga.
