Meet the GA Turned Interim Assistant Director

For many Crystal Watts is a familiar face around Student Activities. For the past two years, she served as the Graduate Assistant for the Community Engagement Office (CEO) while pursuing her master’s degree in College Student Affairs Counseling and Student Personnel. Among CEO programs Crystal coordinated was Mavs in Action and Alternative Spring Break. She also was involved in such campus and community programs as the annual Free Farmers Market, Rake the Town and Holiday Carnival events. When Karen Anderson, Student Activities Assistant Director of CEO, retired in June, Crystal was the ideal candidate as Interim Assistant Director of Community Engagement. “We are very fortunate to have Crystal step into this position with two years of active leadership. She will provide a seamless transition as we move forward with continuing CEO opportunities for our students,” said Mark Contantine, Director of the Centennial Student Union and Student Activities.
