Minnesota State senior Malik Willingham has earned D2CCA All-Central Region Player of the Year honors for his efforts this season with the Maverick men’s basketball team.

A guard from Waseca, Minn. Willingham has started in all 31 games for the Mavericks this season and is averaging 19.1 points, 3.5 rebounds and 4.4 assists per game this season. He has scored 20 points or more in 14 games this season, including a season-high 33 points vs. Sioux Falls in the second round of the NSIC Tournament.
