Reeves and Miller Sweep NSIC Outdoor Track and Field Athlete of the Week Honors

Mavericks freshman Jabez Reeves and senior Shemar Miller earned NSIC Outdoor Track and Field Athlete of the Week honors Tuesday, April 2.

Reeves (Woodbridge, Virginia) ran a time of 10.37 (2.2 wind) in the 100m dash at the 96th Clyde Littlefield Texas Relays. The NCAA provisional time leads the NSIC and ranks sixth in NCAA Division II this season. At the same event, Miller (St. Elizabeth, Jamaica) placed seventh in the triple jump with a leap of 15.65m (51-4.25). He ranks second in NCAA Division II this season.

Competition included both Division II and Division I athletes.

The Mavericks travel to the University of South Dakota on April 5-6 for the Early Bird at Lillibridge Track Complex in Vermillion, S.D. The team hosts its first outdoor meet on Saturday, April 13, at 11 a.m. at the Mark Schuck Outdoor Track and Field Complex.

Reeves (Woodbridge, Virginia) ran a time of 10.37 (2.2 wind) in the 100m dash at the 96th Clyde Littlefield Texas Relays. The NCAA provisional time leads the NSIC and ranks sixth in NCAA Division II this season.

Reeves finished 20th in the event behind a majority of Division I runners.

Miller (St. Elizabeth, Jamaica) competed in the triple jump event at the 96th Clyde Littlefield Texas Relays. He paced seventh with a jump of 15.65m (51-4.25). He ranks second in NCAA Division II this season.

The Mavericks continue outdoor track and field season on April 5-6 at the USD Early Bird at Lillibridge Track Complex in Vermillion, South Dakota. The team hosts its first outdoor meet on April 13 at the Mark Schuck Outdoor Track and Field Complex at 11 a.m.
