by ALEX BAUMANN, CSU Public Relations Intern

For the month of April, The Tribe will be recognized as the Recognized Student Organization (RSO) of the Month. Here is what the Entrepreneurship Club President, Mitchell Muller had to say about the organization.

1. What is your RSO?

2. What do you do, what makes you special, what do you have to offer?

Our organization is committed to preparing students for the world of entrepreneurship. We believe that creating and running your own business is one of the greatest opportunities for individuals in our generation. The club looks to bring in unique and interesting personalities to club meetings to give the club members insight into what it takes to successfully run your own business.

3. Do you have to apply, how selective are you, do you target a specific audience?

We currently do not have any rules for application. When most people think of entrepreneurship they think of business – but through the knowledge of previous successful entrepreneurs, we’ve found that students from all majors are interested in making something their own. We are open to all ages and majors of students at Mankato State University.

4. What is your ultimate goal?

Our ultimate goal is to help students jumpstart their business idea and, at the minimum, give the students at Minnesota State University, Mankato the education and resources they may need in the future if the opportunity ever arises.

5. How many members do you have?

Currently, we are floating around 10-20 members per club meeting. Since starting with two members in the Fall of ’18 – we have been looking to grow the organization to the largest RSO at MSU by Spring of 2020.

6. How many years have you been in the University?

Before the Fall of ’18 there has been an Entrepreneurship Club and a Separate Enactus Chapter for the students to join for as long as I can remember.

7. What other Universities have your organization?

From my understanding, there is an Entrepreneurship organization at most state colleges and universities. The organization at Minnesota State Mankato is looking to grow to be one of the strongest in the state, and for members to compete in larger business pitch competitions around the country.

Something funny: what meme would your RSO relate to?
