Amid the Covid-19 pandemic, the Student Events Team encourages students to apply for and fill vacant committee positions. The Student Events Team board holds many different positions, which all co-operate together to create engaging events for MNSU and the Mankato community. Anna Thevenot works as a Public Relations Board Member for the Student Events Team and wants other students to become involved.

“It is very important that each position is filled because each position has events that need to be planned and other behind the scenes things to help them out,” Thevenot said.

According to Thevenot, when programming positions remain open, then no events would be coordinated, and when there’s no promotions team, then there would be no outreach for events and a smaller group of people would attend.

“Every single position on the board is a vital part of a working machine,” Thevenot said.

According to Thevenot, students can apply on the Student Events Team website.

“If they search ‘MNSU Student Events Team’ and then scroll down, there is a joining and information tab, and the board application is on there,” Thevenot said.

Additionally, if students have VIP texting, then the application link will be sent to devices. If not, then students can sign up by texting “Student” to 76626.
