“Community Involvement can help solve problems and bring positive outcomes” – Sushil Manandhar

Each semester since Spring 2015, the Centennial Student Union honors eight students selected for campus student leadership and CSU student staff excellence. Nominated by staff members from Student Affairs, the Kearney International Center and Diversity, Equity and Inclusion, selected students are recognized on the BEST Board, a 55-foot display in the CSU Hearth Lounge created for Boasting Exceptional Student Talent.

Graduate Assistant to Amanda Johnson, the Centennial Student Union Events Coordinator, Sushil Manandhar has moved through the ranks among student staff within CSU Building Operations. Starting as an undergraduate student worker, he ascended to a building manager before returning as a graduate assistant. Nominated for his exceptional commitment to the CSU, Sushil was recognized as “very smart and a great leader” who continually displays strong customer service and people skills.

“One thing I really like about Sushil is his positive and encouraging attitude; it helps our students keep going when unexpected things happen or we are a bit busy,” his nomination stated. “He is patient and thoughtful when dealing with situations that arise and stays cool, calm and collected in stressful situations.”
