In the latest MAVERICK MINUTE video, President Edward Inch visits with Amy Roemhildt about the Campus Hub as a student resource for addressing questions about financial aid and billing. The MAVERICK MINUTE is a bi-monthly video hosted by President Inch that shares valuable campus resources available to all students.
A new bronze statue commissioned by the Centennial Student Union entitled Sittin’ with Stomper will be unveiled in the CSU on Wednesday, Jan. 17. The statue features the University’s beloved mascot, Stomper, seated on an 8-foot bronze bench that will be permanent placed on the main level of the CSU. A plaque commemorating the spirt of the statue will also be installed near the sculpture.
The recent Supreme Court ruling overturning affirmative action in college admissions will not affect admissions at Minnesota State Mankato. As an open-access institution, Minnesota State Mankato does not use race as a criterion for admission.
Minnesota State Mankato announces the retirement of Rick Straka, Vice President for Finance and Administration, effective February 6, 2024. Straka has served in his current role as Chief Financial Officer since 2006. The search for a new vice president seeks to fill the position by the end of the Fall 2023 semester.

Finally, he encourages student to vote in the Nov. 8 election.
President Edward Inch announced his launching of his Mav Coin Presidential Challenge. He and campus leaders will be watching for individuals modeling and advancing Inclusion, Cooperation, Innovation and Maverick Spirit. Recognized individuals receive a commemorative coin and will be honored at an April 2023 reception.
